On Wednesday Cam and I picked out another hiking trail from his assortment of Sydney Hiking Cards.
The trail we chose was the 10.5 kilometre Benowie Walking Track. I parked my car near Thornleigh train station so that we could take the trail to Hornsby Station and catch the train back.
That all sounds pretty simple, but this trail had so many signs pointing in different directions that we didn’t end up following the Benowie Trail. Instead, we ended up at the Cherrybrook pools, where a barely flowing creek quietly waited for us. This was only 5.5 kilometres in, so we decided it was best to turn back and hop in the car.
Atleast we still did roughly 10 kilometres.
But I guess that’s the best part of hiking, getting lost.
