Queensland Road Trip

In Rum Country

There's more than a giant bottle of rum waiting for you in Bundaberg. Go there.

Bundaberg is the place women go to take their other halves to see the Bundaberg Distillery. Nothing else to see here. Amirite?

Well no, because it turns out we found a little cafe in Burnett Heads that is probably another reason to drive 12 hours (from Sydney) to see.

Gypsea Cafe:

We drove straight to Bundaberg from River Heads, after hopping off the Kingfisher Barge around 8:30am on the 2nd Jan.

Farewell Fraser

The 2 hour drive left us pretty hungry. So we were DAMN impressed by this cute little beach-side joint.

BEHOLD, THE BBLT

Marks toasties, and my delightful BBLT

And afterwards, we went to the Bundaberg Rum Distillery for a guided tour. To be totally honest – I enjoyed myself. AND I DONT DRINK RUM

OKAY so I had a bit of fun..

Tonight we’re planning on finding some pub grub in Bundy. If you’re a Bundy local, I’d love to hear your suggestions below.
