Does driving around the South Island of New Zealand in a campervan sound like the ultimate #vanlife goals to you? Sucked in. We’re leaving on Boxing Day.

On the 26th December we’ll be catching a flight to Christchurch, landing at 12:05am, hailing down a (potentially expensive) taxi to our hostel, Urbanz, where we’ll be spending a night in all the glory that $70 can provide.

On the 27th, we’re picking up our Action Pod campervan at midday, and heading straight for Arthur’s Pass- thanks to the very handy tips from Ask a Nomad.

Find out where we’re planning to go in the map below, and let me know your handy tips if you’ve been there!

We’ve got 11 days on the open road, so don’t even think about telling me, “You guys should do the North Island.”
